Kathleen Mary (“Kathy”) Kelley
Died at her home in Flushing August 26, 2021, where she resided with long time colleague and friend, Ivelisse Auffant.
Kathy was born September 1, 1947, the first of five children to Richard and Teresa Kelley in Flint. She is survived by sister, Laura in Los Angeles, brother Tom and wife Suzanne in Washington DC, brother Brian and wife Nanette in Fenton. Nephew Timothy Kelley and family reside in Plymouth, niece Melissa Hatchew in Grand Blanc and nephew William Lynch and family in Washington DC. She is pre-deceased by brother, Dennis.
Kathy graduated high school from St. John Vianney in Flint, earned a Master’s degree in theological studies from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, and earned a second Master’s degree in social work from University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Kathy practiced her profession with distinction in Port Huron, Grand Rapids, and Flint until her retirement in 2012.
