SACK, Emma B. - Of Flint, age 97, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Bella Vita in Grand Blanc.
A private funeral service will be held, Reverend Brandon Williams officiating.
Private burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries or a charity of one’s choice.
Emma was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on March 3, 1923 the daughter of the late Alexander and Amalia Miller. She was a resident of the Flint area since 1927. She was a graduate of Northern High School-1941.
She married Harold Sack on October 13, 1945. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2009.
Emma was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.
She was a lifetime member of First Reformed Church/Peace Presbyterian Church, where she was very active in the Ladies Guild, Choir and was a Sunday School teacher.
She was also a member of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia.
Emma was employed by the Flint Police Department and North Baptist Church.
Surviving are 3 children, Ronald and wife Barbara of Flushing, Deborah and husband Mark Heidel of Grand Blanc, Robert and wife Deborah of Grand Rapids;
7 adoring grandchildren, Stephannie (Cliff) Bailey, Bethany (Brandon) Williams, Ryan (Leeann) Sack, Lt. Col. Andrew Heidel USAF, Lauren (Ben)Schulke, Bryce (Anna) Sack and Taryn (Zak) Hulst;
5 great-grandchildren, Emma Cate Bailey, Camden and Corban Williams, Carter and Rylee Sack;
brother, Ruben and wife Anna Miller;
2 sisters, Kathryn Anibal and Esther Stuckert;
sister-in-law, Mary Miller;
many nieces and nephews;
best friend, Adeline Gaus.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Alex Miller,
John Miller and Edward Miller.
Celebration of life will take place at a later date.
