Pamela was born on December 14, 1946, in Sandusky, MI, to Harold and June (Reinelt) Nichol, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Sandusky, MI, as a proud daughter who deeply loved her parents and relished her close bond with her younger brother, Paul Nichol, who was nine years her junior. Pamela cherished her roots and often carried the values instilled by her upbringing throughout her life.
Pamela graduated from Michigan State University, an achievement she held with great pride. She also attained a Master's degree plus 30 from Central Michigan University, further showcasing her dedication to learning and personal growth. She poured herself into providing for her family, enduring a 12-year layoff from Bridgeport Spaulding schools, during which she took any teaching job available to make ends meet. Her determination and perseverance were a testament to her unwavering commitment to her loved ones.
Pamela married the love of her life, Howell “Woody” Perryman, on April 4, 1971. Together, they built a loving and devoted partnership, sharing nearly 53 wonderful years of marriage before Woody’s passing in October of 2023. Their enduring love and commitment served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Pamela had a zest for life and an active spirit. Before injuries limited her activities, she loved tennis, aerobics, and being outdoors. She also had a passion for swimming and, later in life, found joy meeting friends for water aerobics at the Davison Athletic Club. She treasured the time spent with her neighborhood friends in Davison, enjoying various activities and their monthly euchre nights. Her enduring energy and enthusiasm inspired everyone around her.
Pamela’s greatest source of pride was her family. She was the biggest supporter of her son, Clint Perryman, and remained actively involved in all aspects of his life. Clint was equally proud to have grown up with such caring and devoted parents who instilled in him the values of love, resilience, and kindness. Pamela loved being a grandmother and, alongside Woody, cherished their three grandchildren, Mira Marie, Lincoln Wood, and Preston Owen. Pamela and Woody were immensely proud of watching their grandchildren grow and thrive.
An avid reader, Pamela could often be found with a novel in hand, finishing books in record time. Her passion for reading reflected her love of learning and her adventurous spirit.
While Pamela’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her, her steadfast faith, gracious presence, and the joy she shared with others will remain a guiding light. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, a loving wife, and a dear friend.
