SESSINK, Patricia A. – Of Fenton, formerly of Flint, age 89, died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Patricia was born in Flint, Michigan on March 26, 1926, the daughter of Howard and Erma Johnson and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life.
She married Donald J. Sessink on June 2, 1951 at Bethany Presbyterian Church and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2006. She was a longtime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her son, Scott and wife Sandy of Durand;
three grandchildren, Lindsay and husband Jeff Shook, Bryan and wife Jessica Sessink, Shannon and husband Nick Wolverton;
8 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kennedy, Ethan, Talyn, Ryan, Sawyer, Riley and Paxton;
two sisters-in-law, Barbara and husband Vernon Mannor of Flint, Shirley and husband Jim Waddington of Livonia;
brother-in-law, Bob Stacey of Florida;
niece, Nancy and husband Kurt Hamilton;
two nephews, Kevin and David Johnson;
special niece, Kim and cousin, Don Austin.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey; her parents; brother, William E. Johnson and nephew, Daniel Johnson.
