Barbara Jean (Roster) Bearup, age 81 of Otisville, MI passed away September 14, 2025, at McLaren Hospital. Barb was born December 5, 1943, in Flint, MI, the daughter of John and Leta (Fuller) Roster. Barbara earned her high school diploma as an adult from Flint Schools. Barbara was joined in marriage to Leonard Bearup June 16, 1989. She went back to Mott Community College and earned her associate's degree in 2011, an achievement she was especially proud of. Barbara wanted to show her grandkids that they could do it as well. Her Christian faith was very important part of her life and she was active in her church choir. Barbara gave generously of her time and talents, serving as a Cub Scout leader, a 4-H leader guiding and encouraging young people in her community. She spent countless hours at her children and grandchildren's sport games, basketball games and horse shows.
Barbara was also an avid baker and crafter, sharing her creations with friends and family. Her hobbies reflected her joyful spirit. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching movies, participating in the Genesee County Fair and running her booths at local flea markets, where she loved meeting new people.
Above all Barbara was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a proud grandmother and great grandmother. Her kindness, humor and warmth will be remembered by all who knew her.
Remaining to cherish Barbara's memory are husband Leonard, children Randall Caldwell, Robert Caldwell, Belinda (Caldwell) Esterline and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. She was preceded in death by her first husband Herman Caldwell. |
