Wendy Lee Gates was born on November 10, 1964 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle and Violet (Craven) Gates. She was working as an assisted living caretaker. She enjoyed attending her granddaughter’s swim meets and musical theater performances. Later in life she was reunited with her highschool sweetheart, William Labod.
Left to cherish her memory are mother Violet Gates, daughter Josie Gates, granddaughter Adreena Batsios, sisters Ruth “Bob” Nichols, Victoria “Doug” Nicholls, and Tammy “Rob” Seavolt. Many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Wendy was preceded in death by her father Lyle Gates, loving husband William “Billy” Labod, sister Sandra Linder, and nephew Michael Pnacek. |
