ROCKWELL, Dennis L. “Denny” “Rocky” – of Clio, age 74, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, April 9, 2021 at CenterPoint Church (formerly Faith Tabernacle) 1225 S. Center Rd. in Burton. Rev. Bob Koch officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 3PM until 7PM and Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Burial will be 2:30PM Friday at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Voice of the Martyrs or Flint Eastside Mission. According to policies at the church, masks are optional for guests attending services.

Denny was born October 17, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late Donald and Virginia (Danner) Rockwell. He married Laurie Holicki on June 27, 1997. Mr. Rockwell was a U.S. Army medic in Germany during the Vietnam War. Denny retired from Buick in 2007 with 44 years of service. He knew the love for his Lord and was a former member of Lamb of God Fellowship in Montrose and most recently, CenterPoint Church (formerly Faith Tabernacle) in Burton. Denny enjoyed staying active running and participated in many marathons, Crim races, and ran the Boston 100 marathon. He loved snowmobiling, deer hunting, and spending time at Clear Lake at his dad’s cabin in West Branch. Above all, Denny loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are: Wife, Laurie Rockwell; Daughter, Michelle Zinda; Son, Ken (Ragen) Rockwell; Stepsons: Aaron (Melissa) Hynes, and Jacob Hynes; Grandchildren: Cody (Liz) Zinda, Kaitlynn Zinda, Sydney Hynes, Jacob Hynes, Audrey Hynes, and Jackson Hynes; 6 great grandchildren; Brothers: Norman (Jeanne) Rockwell, and Paul (Debbie) Rockwell. The family extends a special thank you to all the staff at Maple Woods Manor for all their excellent and loving care of Denny during his 4 years with them.
