Jacalyn Kay Harder, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born on January
1, 1954 in Macomb Co.,MI as the first baby of the new year, to William and Esther Minard Harder.
Jacie grew up in Utica,MI where she graduated from Utica High School in 1972. After high school she proudly served in the US Navy.
She married James McGee on April 28, 1979 in Lake Orion. Jacie and Jim have two sons, Jamie and Jason. She loved spending time with family and friends and her nieces and nephews have many happy memories of summers spent on Barnes Lake. She was an avid hunter and loved snowmobiling.Jacie was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Ross and niece Stephany.
Left to mourn her passing are her spouse, Jim McGee of Irons,MI, her sons, James McGee and fiance Rachael Norton of Fountain,MI, Jason McGee and wife Denise of North Branch,MI, 7 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren and her daughter of the heart, Jody. She also has three sisters, Linda (Larry) Lewis of Imlay City, Jo Harder of Clinton Twp., Debbie (Harry) Ellison of Sterling Heights, Her brother, Scott Harder of Midlothian VA and her parents,Bill and Bev Harder of Haines City FL along with many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the AMVETS of Baldwin Hall, 1959 W 24th St in Baldwin. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 12 to 4.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Cancer Society or St Paul's of Imlay City Relay for Life team.
