STONEBURNER, Victor J. – of Flint, MI, age 95, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. Cremation has taken place. A Private Graveside Service, with Military Honors, will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Victor was born in Flint, MI on January 25, 1926, son of the late Victor and Mildred (Snyder) Stoneburner. He married Vera Higgins on February 11, 1949 in Angola, IN and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2009. Victor proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. He retired from General Motors after more than 25 years of service. Victor was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Flint, MI and a lifetime member of VFW Post #4087. He was an avid golfer, gardener, talented artist and painter, voracious reader and loved to fish.
Victor is survived by 2 sons, Robert (Christine) Stoneburner of Burton, MI and John (Marilyn) Stoneburner of Grand Haven, MI; 6 grandchildren, Zandrah, Erik, Sara, Emily, Victor Jr. and Steve; 2 great-grandchildren, Easton and Wyatt; dear friend, June LaRock; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mildred Stoneburner; his loving wife, Vera Stoneburner; son, Victor Stoneburner; 2 sisters, Lucille Douglas and Iva Stark.
