Donald L. Brown, age 93, of Perry passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home. A memorial visitation to honor his life will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, 203 East First North Street, Laingsburg, MI 48848. A private interment will take place at Oak Plains Cemetery, Shaftsburg, Michigan.
Don was born February 13, 1928, in Clare County, Michigan. He attended Lake Stanton School. He married the love of his life Luella Kinney on August 30, 1947, in Clare. They recently celebrated more than 74 years together. Don was a member of the West Michigan Draft Horse Club, the Draft Horse Pullers, and the Michigan Bicentennial Wagon Train Association. Don worked for Oldsmobile as a machine repairman, completing 37 years of faithful service.
Don is survived by his wife; Luella, his children; Donald (Jean Scripter) Brown, Ronald (Jane) Brown, Randell (Doreen) Brown and Bruce (Mellissa) Brown, his 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and his siblings; Margarite Sarkozi and Dale Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Howard Brown, Madeline Hunt, Ford Brown, Helen Ranshaw, and Ellen Brown, and his daughter-in-law; Karen Brown, his sister-in-law; Frances Brown and Jan Brown, and his brother-in-law Joe Sarkozi
