Dallas Wayne Menz, age 78, died October 9, 2019 in Clio, MI. He was raised in Burton, Michigan and was a Bendle graduate. He married Charlotte Read, his high school sweetheart, and they would have celebrated 57 years together on October 27, 2019. He was a fork lift driver for the V-8 Engine plant, retiring in 1992. Dallas enjoyed tinkering with cars and was proud of earning 3rd place for his 1957 Chevy truck restoration. Every November found him in the UP with his hunting buddies, with only a few years that he didn't get a buck.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; son, Jeff (Diane) of Dumont, CO; daughter, Lisa Adams (Scott) of Centennial, CO; grandchildren, Sarah Menz and Zachary Menz (Jenessa) all of CO; a sister, Carolyn Draper; brother, Randy Menz (Linda); and his faithful companion “Bubba”. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Colleen Menz. Per his wishes, no services are planned at this time and a private memorial will be held at a later date. A loving thank you to Maple Woods Manor and Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Dallas, and a special heartfelt thank you to Joan Hulliberger, our devoted friend.
