VAUGHN, Mark Landon – age 59 of Flushing, MI passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 2PM-4PM & 6PM-8PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1PM at Reigle Funeral Home – Sunset Chapel – 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial will take place at Flushing Cemetery. Mark was born in Flint, MI on January 14, 1957 to the late Herbert and Gloria (Schlothauer) Vaughn. He married Mary Baker on June 7, 1989. Mark had worked for General Motors for 30 years before his retirement in 2006. He worked as a die maker for 21 of those years. Mark was a member of the Old News Boys and United Auto Workers #659. He was a sports enthusiast and loved getting together with the family to watch “the game.” Golf was one of his favorites. You could find him out for long drives with no particular destination, but just to look at the scenery and clear his mind. He was a talented guitar player as well. Mark had a big, infectious laugh and a loud booming voice. His big heart, quick wit, and helpful nature will be greatly missed. One of his biggest accomplishments in his life was his children and he was so proud of them. Surviving are his wife, Mary Vaughn; children, Kimberly (Daniel Ing) Vaughn, Matthew (Erica Sovey) Vaughn, Ronald “Ronnie” (Susan Allison) Miller, and Nikole “Nikki” Vaughn; brothers, Paul Vaughn, and Doug (Amy) Vaughn; best friend, Mark King, and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Craig Vaughn; and sister, Michelle “Missy” Beggs. Contributions may be made to the Old News Boys.
