Josephine was born in Detroit, MI on March 2, 1942, daughter of the late Santoro and Pierina (Guerrieri) Naso. She married Douglas Bully on September 5, 1979 and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2020. Josephine had a deep passion for quilting, spending countless hours crafting beautiful quilts that brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her work was a reflection of her nurturing spirit and meticulous attention to detail, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and love in each stitch. Family meant the world to Josephine. She cherished the time spent with her loved ones, whether it was a quiet evening at home or a lively gathering at the cabin, where she made countless memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. One of Josephine’s favorite indulgences was eating cannoli’s, a treat she savored while sharing stories and laughter with family. Her love for Italian culture was evident in the frequent visits she made to the Italian stores in Detroit, where she delighted in finding special ingredients and treasures to share with those she loved. Josephine’s life was one of love, family, and joy. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her memory will forever live on in the quilts she made, the laughter she shared, and the beautiful family she helped shape.
Josephine is survived by 3 children, Christine (Charles) Hodson, Sandy (Carol) Biggs and Kelly (Troy) Tripple; 4 siblings, Pasqualina Miarka, Rosemary (Michael) Howay, Anna (Dave) Pras and Vito (Brittany) Naso; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharon Bully; step-mother, Maria Naso; step-daughter, Amy (Harry) Lloyd; close friends, Joe (Lana) Caballero; many other loving family members and dear friends.
