NEELY, Fred John – of Flint, MI, age 56, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Bishop Bruce Badder and Rev. Jason Kilcoyne co-officiating. The family will receive visitors 2-3 PM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee County Animal Control, in Fred’s memory.
Fred was born in Flint, MI on June 26, 1962, son of Patricia (Benoit) and the late Gerald Neely. He was employed as an Animal Control Attendant with Genesee County Animal Control. Fred was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was also an avid bow hunter and fisherman.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Rachelle Detman; 2 grandchildren, Paiton and Jaxsin; fiancée, Cindy Shann; 5 siblings, Cindy (Don) Daly, Skip (Vicky) Bennett, Bryon Neely, Terri (Kenneth) Rose and Lorie (Bob) Wheaton; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald D. Neely and good friend and neighbor, Wally Diamond.
