ANDERSON, Kay – Of Flint, age 74, died Thursday, December 1, 2022 at McLaren-Flint.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
Kay was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on April 5, 1948, the daughter of the late Miles and Norma (Miller) Caldwell.
She graduated from Fenton High School in 1966 and received her Associates Degree from Mott Community College.
On March 12, 1994 she married Gary Anderson.
She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Kay worked for over 20 years for Kearsley Schools. She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and was active at the East Side Senior Center.
She loved quilting and knitting blankets.
Surviving are daughter, Kristine (Brian) Snider;
son, Allan (Brandy) Boardway, and their father, Robert Boardway;
step-daughters, Lisa (Paul) Wagner and Michelle (Patrick) Theaker;
step-son, Todd (Sandy) Anderson;
14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren;
brother, Tom (Judy) Caldwell;
many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, on November 28, 2021.
