Betty was born on September 10, 1934, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late George and Leola (McReynolds) Hall. She spent her early years in Paducah before her family moved to Mt. Morris, Michigan, where she graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1952. On January 29, 1955, she married the love of her life, Robert Mills. They shared many devoted years together until his passing on October 6, 2010.
Betty dedicated more than 30 years of service as an executive secretary with GM Parts Division, where she was known for her professionalism and commitment. Beyond her career, Betty embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She loved singing and was a faithful member of the choir at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. An avid golfer, she also enjoyed music, dancing, and staying active. Betty truly lived life to the fullest, she was often the life of the party, bringing laughter and warmth wherever she went.
Above all, Betty cherished time spent with her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than sharing laughter and making memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Matthew (Karen) Mills and Nancy (Eric) Schaefer; her grandchildren, Morgan (Bill) Rugg, Mallory (JP) DeStefano, Madison (Bret) Boswell, and Alex Schaefer; her great-grandchildren, Hadley Rugg and Jackson DeStefano; her siblings, Charles (Susan) Hall, Debbie (Dave) Ford, and Mike (Susan) Hall; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Mills; her parents; and her sister, Emma Fishburn.
Betty’s joyful spirit, strong faith, and deep love for her family will be remembered always. |
