PANCOAST, Reverend Charles L. - Of Grand Blanc, age 82, went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 16, 2015 from his residence.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Harvest Time Tabernacle, 7370 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Reverend Dan Coleman officiating.

Burial in Hilltop Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Avoca, Indiana.

Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the church.

Charles was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 11, 1932, the son of the late Lee and Isabel (Gilruth) Pancoast. He married Marcella Childers in Avoca, Indiana on October 29, 1954. He began preaching at the young age of 15 and was ordained in the ministry in the PCG in 1954. Reverend Pancoast served as the Indiana/Ohio District PYPA President, pastored at First Pentecostal Church of Christ in Flatwoods, KY. He pastored Highland View Church in Los Angeles, CA, Trinity Church in Houston, Texas, Glad Tidings Assembly in Battle Creek, MI, pastored First PCG in Fort Smith, Arkansas and then became Pastor of Harvest Time Tabernacle in Grand Blanc in 1997. Reverend Pancoast served as President of PCG Messenger College from 1984-1991. He served as National PYPA President from 1964-1969 in which time he started the PCG Bible Quizzing Program.
He was well known for singing “How Big is God” and playing his saxophone. He especially had a love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He had a great sense of humor and had a heart for people, supporting them and their dreams. Surviving are wife, Marcella; daughters, Charlene (Les) Melton and Loyce (Doug)Lewis; grandchildren, Scott, Craig and Rosalie Melton, Dustin (Whitney) Lewis and Derek (Alyssa) Lewis; sister, Leila Pancoast;
