Switalski, Mike – of Clio, age 77, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at University of Michigan Ann Arbor. A Masonic Service will be held at 4PM, Monday, August 24, 2026, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 2PM until the time of service.

Mike was born on October 24th, 1948, in Flint, Michigan to the late Harold and Jean (Fritzler) Switalski. He grew up in Flushing with several siblings having 3 brothers and 2 sisters. In 1984 he married Sharon and moved to Clio, a place he was proud to call home. With this marriage he also gained three daughters who he loved very much. All of Mike’s passions kept him very busy. He worked as an Operating Engineer for Local 324 before retiring after 23 years, was heavily involved in the Michigan Masons for 50 years, took part in many skeet shooting competitions locally at the Montrose Gun Club and afar, and attended events with his food truck. Mike was a free spirit that loved to ride his Harley across many states with his wife and many others. On Tuesdays he often gathered with his close friends to play cards. His biggest joy in life was running Mid-Michigan Sportswear in downtown Clio, where he delivered joy to the community with custom apparel for everyone's needs. When Mike decided to take time away from his busy life he would travel north to his camper at East Tawas City Park. In his later years, he enjoyed relaxing, visiting with friends and family, and spending time with his wife, granddaughter Emilee, and beloved dog Bella. Throughout his journeys Mike made many dear friends and was known everywhere he went.
