Wegher, Raymond Edward of Flushing, age 75, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at his son's home in Pinckney. The Fourth Sunday of Lent Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015, at St. Robert Catholic Church with his son, Fr. William F. Wegher, officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Noon-8 p.m. Saturday at Rossell Funeral Home and 2 p.m. Sunday at the church until time of the Services. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Very Rev. David A. Hannes will pray the Parastas at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Saturday followed by a Scripture Service that is conducted by Fr. William Wegher. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Masses or family wishes.

Raymond was born in Flint, MI on September 22, 1939, the son of Remo Elmo and Onalee Lucille (Hall) Wegher. He married Rose Marie Rozsa at St. Joseph Hungarian Catholic Church, Flint on May 22, 1965. Raymond went to St. Matthew's Catholic High School, Flint and graduating in the Class of 1957, and voted All Parochial in sports. He went to G.M.I. in 1957, earning a Tool and Die Maker degree. He worked at GM Metal Fab for 43.4 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 659. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1962-1968.

Raymond was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church and St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. He was a big Michigan State fan and loved coneys, french fries, and Mazolla peppers. He enjoyed going to the woods and loved gun and bow hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, snowmobiling, going to the casino, playing Bingo, playing cards, and in younger years, skiing. He loved his annual fish camp trips with his special friends.

Raymond is survived by loving wife of almost 50 years, Rose Marie; four children, Rev. Fr. William Wegher of Pinckney, Cheryl A. (William) McFadden of Flint, Deborah R. (Brian) Morehouse of Otisville, Michael A. (Heather Schlemmer) Wegher of Flushing; two very dear granddaughters, Shelby Taylor Wegher and boyfriend, George Hyde, Emma Rose Wegher; brother, Arnold Wegher (Elizabeth Higgins) of Golden, CO. He is survived by the nieces and nephews of his late brother, Earl, Susan Wegher Ecker, Earl Joseph (Cindy) Wegher, Ronald Wegher (Sue), Diane Wegher (Brett) Hanna, and all their families and the nieces and nephews of his brother, Arnold, Anna Wegher (Larry) Dubas, Janette Wegher (Paul) Bradley; Mary Wegher (Frank) Lohman, Vincent (Heather) Wegher, Gary (Celeste) Wegher, Katherine Wegher (Steve) Woods, and all their families. He is survived by his beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barbara Kovachevich, Frank (Gloria) Rozsa, Jim (Linda) Rozsa, Julie (Ray) Rust, John (Rose) Rozsa and all their families and the very wonderful in-laws of his children, Shirley McFadden, William McFadden, Sr., Thomas Morehouse (Rosie Maher), Mike and Connie Stanton, Ken and Marion Schlemmer, David and Kathy Tibbetts. He is also survived by many special cousins, including the Tieppo and Wegher families; 12 very special Godchildren; his seven furry four-legged grandchildren; and many, many special friends who he loved as family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Remo and Onalee Wegher; parents-in-law, Frank and Julia Rozsa; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Rosemary Wegher; sister-in-law, Joann Wegher; brother-in-law, Milton Kovachevich; Godfather of his four children, Carlo Lubiato; son-in-law, Russell Tibbetts.

To my one true love. I will always love you, my Soldier Boy. The most wonderful man in the world has went to heaven.
