Jeanette Joan Young, age 88, Owosso, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2026, surrounded by family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend to many.
Jeanette was born in Flint, MI on October 18, 1937, to James and Dorothy (Freeland) Crowe. On October 24, 1953 she married Harold R. Young in Flint, MI. They were married for 40 years before his death in 1993. Together they raised three daughters, Yvonne, Michele, and Pam.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Michele (Jim) Washburn, Pam (Mike) Kingsley and son-in-law Tony Husocki; three granddaughters, Darla Sumner, Lauren (Brandon) Covell, and Michaela (Matt) Ross; three great grandsons, Austin Sumner, Joshua and Matthew Husocki; sister-in-law Jenevive Crowe; siblings Howard (Penny) Howd and Liz (Larry) Freeman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, daughter Yvonne Husocki, grandson Mike Husocki and siblings Jim Crowe, Joyce Pettey, Al Crowe and Mark Howd.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 23, 1960. She is now awaiting the fulfillment of God's promise at John 5:28, 29 to awaken and reunite with all of her cherished family and friends on an earthly paradise that she preached about for the last 66 years.
Jeanette was a kind, generous, resilient, spiritual woman who loved her family with all her heart. One of her greatest joys was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
