REIF, Trina Marie (West) – of Gladwin, MI, age 60, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 3 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-3 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home.
Trina was born in Flint, MI on April 8, 1965, daughter of the late Darwin and JoAnn (Crank) West. A proud graduate of Atherton High School, Class of 1983, Trina embodied dedication and integrity throughout her life. She retired after 25 years of service at Meijer, where her work ethic and gentle spirit earned the respect of all who knew her. Trina found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She delighted in the thrill of the casino, the challenge of a good puzzle, and the calm serenity of floating on a pontoon boat under a blue sky. Nature brought her peace, and time spent outdoors was among her greatest joys. At the heart of her home were her beloved Maine Coon cats, Trucker and Turbo, constant companions who gave her unconditional love and comfort. To know Trina was to be touched by her warmth, her ready smile, and her quiet strength. She had a gift for making others feel at ease and a way of turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. Her presence was steady, kind, and true — a source of light and love to those fortunate enough to share in her journey. Though she may no longer walk beside us, Trina’s spirit will live on in the lives she touched, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Trina is survived by her husband, Steven Reif; 2 children, Tara (Josh) Taylor and Lance (Kirsten) Clark; 5 grandchildren, Landyn Taylor (age 13), Kamdyn Taylor (age 11), Heath Clark (age 8), Roman Clark (age 5) and Cooper Clark (age 20 months); sister, Carol (Howard) Fry; many other loving family members and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and JoAnn West; 2 siblings, Mark West and Dana Newcombe.
