Braun, Wendy Noreen - Age 68, of Flint, passed away June 15, 2025. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Machpelah Cemetery, 4615 Branch Road, Flint with her sister, Dr. Lisa Braun-Glazer officiating. Wendy was born March 11, 1957 in Flint, the daughter of the late Percy and Ruth (Kaplan) Braun. She graduated from Flint Northern High School, where she was very involved cheering on the Vikings on the Pom Pom Squad and she was the first female students to try out for the football team. Even at a young age and as a teenager, she had a great interest in government and served in student government. She was also a Table Tennis Champion in mixed Doubles in the CANUSA games for two years running.
She graduated from Mott Community College with an associates degree in Criminal Justice. She also continued her education attending the University of Michigan - Flint. Wendy worked for the Flint Township police department as an auto accident investigator. She worked in Automobile Sales. She then went on to work as the Resident Coordinator for Don Williamson when he served as the Mayor of Flint. She continued to be very active in Flint and Genesee County politics, serving the community with her whole heart.
She assisted many Flint residents during the Flint Water Crisis; counseling over 950 people. She had a great concern for helping people and their well being. She was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award for service from Rotary International for her service during the Flint Water Crisis. Wendy had always been an avid cook, graduating from Le Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Arts in Chicago. She was an absolute perfectionist in the art of cooking. She also for some time had worked as a Food Health Inspector. She went on to own and operate Wendy's Kitchen, that she started in 2014. She married Dr. John H. Daly, III on February 14, 2011; they truly enjoyed their love and companionship in their 14 year marriage. Wendy truly cared about other people and loved to talk with people. She had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Dr. John H. Daly III; sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Lisa Braun Glazer (Dr. Jeffrey Glazer) of La Jolla, CA; nieces: Julia Glazer Scher (Mark), Anna Glazer Simon (Daniel); five grand nephews, and one grand niece; her beloved cats, Lily and Midnight. Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Ruth Braun; and her grandparents.
