THOMAS, Ross A. – of Clio, age 79, died peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 2PM until 7PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Mar Shimun Bar Sabbai – The Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East in Flint.

Ross was born on September 21, 1945, in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1963. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Barrett, on April 2, 1966. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on love, laughter, and deep devotion to one another. A hardworking man throughout his life, Ross dedicated over 30 years of service at General Motors – Buick before retiring. He took immense pride in providing a life where Marilyn could remain at home to lovingly raise their three children, a role he sincerely respected and treasured. Ross was a dedicated and faithful member of Mar Shimun Bar Sabbai – The Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East in Flint, where he could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. He found joy in the simple things - cheering on his favorite hockey teams and finding peace in the quiet moments spent birdwatching. Above all, Ross was the pillar of his family, always a steady, loving presence who found joy in making cherished memories with those he loved. He was a loyal husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather.

Surviving are: Wife, Marilyn; Daughters: Suzanne (Roy) McGee, and Roxanne Thomas; Son, Eric (Andrea) Thomas; Grandchildren: Isaiah Alexander (Brianna) Howard, Aleah (Anthony) Howard, and Jonathon (Kaitlyn) Thomas; Great grandchildren: Scarlett Mae Thomas, and Jon Thomas, Jr; Brother, Albert (Joetta) Thomas; Nieces: Kathy (Dan) Skinner, and Florence (Steve) Fras; Nephew, Albert (Laurie) Thomas; Several other loving family members and dear friends.
