Mike was born and resided in Flint Ml his entire life. Mike was a lifelong member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and was an alter server until he graduated from High School. Mike attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and St Agnes High School. He was a member of the first graduating class of Powers Catholic High School. The Class of 1971. Mike took great pride in being the manager of the St. Agnes & Powers basketball teams. Mike attended C S Mott Community College, Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. Graduating with a BA in Business.
Mike worked in many retail management positions, also several office positions as office manager. He also worked for over 20 years as an income tax preparer at H & R Block. In 2019 Mike became a member of the St. Michael North End Soup Kitchen volunteers.
Mike loved to play golf and anxiously awaited the beginning of spring so he and his longtime golf partner Ken, could hit the links. He enjoyed watching golf tournaments on TV. And of course attending the Buick Open!
On May 30, 1987, Mike married the Love of his Life, Ines and together they raised Ines's two children, David and Melanie Hall.
Mike is survived by His Loving Wife Ines. Stepson David and his wife Rachel Hall. Rachel's son Tyler and his wife Saige Stevens. Stepdaughter Melanie Hall. Sister in Law Bonnie James and her family.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Anna Labick. Brother in Law Tim James. Sister in Law Mary Ann McCormick. Many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
A memorial mass will be held 11am Saturday, October 18, 2025 at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 2333 Elms Road, Flushing, MI.
A luncheon will be served at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. The American Cancer Society. The North End Soup Kitchen. Or the charity of ones choice.
