Boyer, Irene Mary of Flushing, age 99, died Monday, February 15, 2021, at her home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2021, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Fr. Thomas Firestone will officiate. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of the Mass. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice.
Irene was born in Bay City, Michigan on January 29, 1922, the youngest of six children of Stephen and Kathryn (Reichert) Boka. She married Clarence Boyer in Mt. Morris, Michigan on January 25, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1999. As a faithful and prayerful servant of God, Irene was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She enjoyed coloring and was an avid cook who loved to feed her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her children, Douglas and wife Mary Boyer, Sharon and husband Paul Primel, Joyce and husband Richard Krul, Eugene and wife Nancy Boyer; grandchildren, Ryan Primel, Dana and husband Aaron Coronado, Kelly Stepanski, Brent and wife Ashley Boyer, Samantha and husband Steve Sacharski, Jake Boyer, Richard Krul, Julia and husband Corbin Holt, Rick Boyer, Jeff Boyer, MattBoyer; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Gavin, Graham, Oliver, Jameson, Nora and Jett. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn.
