Norman was born in Flint, MI on January 19, 1948, son of the late Norman H. and Anne (Wood) Hardin. His life was marked by service, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community. Norman honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, a period of his life he carried with great pride. On September 11, 1971, he married the love of his life, Sharon Schweitzer. Their deep and enduring bond was a source of strength and joy until her passing on April 5, 2013. For over five decades, Norman owned and operated Valley Drywall in Burton, MI, where he built a respected reputation through hard work, integrity, and a strong sense of community. Outside of work, Norman found peace and purpose in the great outdoors. He cherished hunting, camping, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved family. These simple joys brought him the greatest happiness and will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved him. Norman leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and perseverance. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Norman is survived by his 3 children, Richard (Casey) Hardin, Tonia (Mark Dinnan) Hardin and Stephanie Hardin; 6 grandchildren, Christian, Miranda, Keirsten, Connor, Colton and Kylie; 3 great-grandchildren, Oakleigh, Remington and coming soon, Baby Verkennes; 3 siblings, Rhonda (Jack) Rau, Nancy Hardin and Philip Hardin; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman H. and Anne Hardin and his wife, Sharon Hardin.
