JOHNSON, WALTER G. – Of Burton, age 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his three loving daughters, on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor Dave L. Boillat officiating.
Visitation will be 5-8pm on Thursday June 19, 2025, and 12 noon till the time of service Friday, at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Walt was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 18, 1934, the son of the late Lewis and Verna (Bell) Johnson.
Walt married Maxine “Mickey” Singer on February 16,1957, Maxine preceded him in death in March of 2009.
Walt owned and operated Walt Johnson Plumbing for many years retiring in 2000.
Walter enjoyed sports, traveling, Golf, casinos, bowling and most important his lifelong friends.
Surviving are his three daughters, Tracey (Dennis) Berry, Ramona Matoh, Karen (Steve) Johnston;
six grandchildren Alyssa (Lance) Campbell, Jeffrey (Adrienne) Berry, Matthew (Suzie) Matoh, Emily Matoh, Dustin and Andrew Johnston;
great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Liam, Lizzie, Ellie, Xander, McKinley and baby Maxine.
Two brothers-in-law Bob and John (Mary Ann) Singer.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to dad’s caregiver Tracey Anne Howell.
