Helen Mogg
Age 85 of Flint, formerly of Owosso, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held 1pm Saturday July 28, 2018 at Salem Lutheran Church with Pastor James Bare officiating.
Helen was born April 24, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan; the daughter of Herman and Emma (Grell) Wietfeldt.
She graduated from Owosso High School. Helen was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church and the Good Sam Club in 1966.
Helen married Charles Mogg at Salem Lutheran Church in Owosso, on April 11, 1953; he predeceased her in 1988.
She spent her years taking care of her home and her family. Helen also was a baker and a greeter at Meijer and worked for a family delivery business for 20 years. She was known for her picture taking and she loved traveling, making her way through all 48 states and to some of her favorite places like Germany and New York City for the rededication of the Statue of Liberty.
Helen is survived by her children Chuck (Sue) Mogg, Russ Mogg and Kerry Mogg; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Jack (Betty Jo) Wietfeldt; several cousins, nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church.
