Christopher Jay Nicklesen December 27, 1968 – May 27, 2026 Christopher Jay Nicklesen was many things to many people: a Marine Corps veteran, a devoted son, a loyal friend, an uncle, a papa, and a father figure to more than just his own children. He was the kind of man people could depend on solid, steady, strong, and always willing to lend a hand. His presence brought comfort and strength to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him. Chris lived a life marked by loyalty, humor, and generosity. He leaves behind countless memories, stories, and lessons that will continue to guide those he touched. We are grateful to have had such solid and remarkable man in our lives. Think of him when you see a hummingbird and crack a beer and a joke in his honor. Celebrate his memory the way he would have wanted. We love you, Dad. Go Blue! Christopher was preceded in death by his father, David Nicklesen, and his brothers, James May and Joe Diaz. He is survived by his beloved mother, Shirley; his caring sisters, Kim, Kathy, Karen, and Heather; and his brother, Tarry. He leaves behind his children, his favorite daughter Eva Nikole and his favorite son David Jay; his treasured grandchildren, Djay and Nijah; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Desirae, Patrick, Blake, Christopher, CJ, Sheridan, Gavin, Addison, Tim, Taylor, and Trish. He is also survived by his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lila Grace Jean, Paige, Vivian Selena, Dominick, Indigo, and Ilijah, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Military burial and honors will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 2PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd. Holly, MI 48442.
