Wager (Panek), Nina Marie of Clio, age 78, died Thursday July 22nd, 2021 at McLaren Hospital in Flint.
Visitation services will be held at O'Guinn Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday, July 25th from 3:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Mount Morris Community Church on Monday July 26th at 3:00pm, visitation at 2:00pm with Pastor Aaron Burton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clio Area Fire Department, Inc. Mike Wager Memorial Fund.
Nina was born August 11th, 1942 in Detroit to Emil and Margaret Panek. Nina resided in the Mount Morris and Clio area for most of her life. She was a beautician and loved doing "little old ladies' hair." She married Luren William Harvey Wager on September 15th, 1962 and they raised their children on the family farm. They were both employed by Mount Morris Consolidated School System as custodians. Nina loved gardening, dried flower arrangements, dancing, singing, and cooking for family and friends. She loved going to church and sharing her faith with anyone who would listen.
Surviving are her husband Luren Wager, daughter Lisa Chatlain, daughter in law Amy Wager; Grandchildren Molly Dallaire, Micah Wager (Terra Lockhart), Lindsey Butka, Elaine Chatlain, Joy Chatlain, Jim Kiefer, Lane Kiefer, and Chase Kiefer; Great grandchildren Allison Montgomery, Shayla Butka, and Noah Dallaire; Siblings Betty Lou Bobb (Jerry Morse), Marie Thompson (Carl Thompson) and Robert Panek; Uncle George and Aunt Margie Ryno, Uncle Mike and Aunt Barbara Killenger; As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son Luren Michael (Mike) Wager, parents Emil and Margaret Panek, and siblings Mike Panek, Emil Panek Jr, Barbara Panek, and Charles Panek.
