Carstensen, Dale L. of Flushing, Michigan, age 92, died Thursday, September 23, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Dale was born on August 26, 1929 in Marion Springs, Michigan to Herbert and Celia (Smith) Carstensen. He was a proud member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Dale was an avid farmer and worked as a die maker at General Motors and retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing. He loved woodworking, but his true passion was fishing. Dale is survived by his wife, Virginia Carstensen; children, Kevin Carstensen and Katrina (James) Sargent; grandchildren, Robyn (Jeff) Baker and Craig (Beth) Carstensen; several great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Stephens; and stepsons, Larry, Allen, and Sanford Shuster. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Carstensen; siblings, Garnet Wenzel and Leland Carstensen; and his parents. |
