Mark R. Edgcombe, aged 62, of Montrose, Michigan, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Monday, September 11, 2023. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023 at New Covenant Church in Clio, Pastor Dan Shinabarger to officiate. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Rossell Funeral Home and at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Mark was born in Flint, Michigan on December 19, 1960, to Virgil and Ruth (Riemer) Edgcombe. Having grown up in Flushing, MIchigan, Mark was well-loved and had many friends within the community. Mark started his tree removal business over 20 years ago and was passionate about his work, looking forward to it every day. Mark was a devoted family man and a loving husband to his wife, Diane, for 26 years. Mark enjoyed spending time with his children, and his grandchildren brought him so much joy and happiness. Mark also enjoyed spending time on his boat, the “Ode to Virg,” riding his 2012 Honda Goldwing, and taking trips with friends and family.
Mark is survived by his wife, Diane Edgcombe; children, Ashley Edgcombe, Christopher (Hanna) Edgcombe, Christine (Robert) Kelly, and Andrew Hanson; grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily, Jonah, and Connor; siblings, Elizabeth (Jack) Tubbs, David (Colleen) Edgcombe, Gregory (Laurie) Edgcombe, Mary (Daniel) Nichols, and Suzanne (John) Ray; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Ryan Edgcombe.
