William George Tester "Bill" passed away March 19, 2014 at the age of 91. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 24, 2014 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Flint Ward, 1225 Robert T. Longway Blvd. Bishop Bob Berger officiating. Burial to follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 2 PM with military honors. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 3-8 PM and at the church on Monday from 9 AM until time of services at 11 AM.
William was born October 2, 1922 in St. Paul, MN to the late Riley C. Tester and Anna (Rex) Tester. He lived in St. Paul, MN most of his life moving to Whitehall, MI then Mt. Morris the past 5 years. He married Palma Berg on December 10, 1949 in Saulk Centre, MN. He served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946. Mr. Tester retired from Advance Circuits in St. Paul, MN. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Flint Ward. He enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, and woodworking and had many hobbies.
Bill is survived by: his wife, Palma Marietta (Berg); seven sons, William George Tester Jr. of St. Paul, MN, Robert Stephen Tester & (Dawn) of Niles, MI, Jeffery Tester & (LaVorna) of Heltonville, IN, Peder Tester of Mt. Morris MI, Michael Tester (Judi) of Willmar MN, Denver McCoyz of Junitta, NE, and David Tester (Petra) of Lascassas, TN; five daughters, Joan Curtis of Willmar, MN, Lois Morse (Tom) of Clio, MI, Palma Berdette Morse & (Robert) of Flushing, MI, Julie Engelkes (Rodney) of Belgrade, MN, Carolyn Evans of Clear Lake, MN; brother, Robert (Bea) Tester; sister, Mary Lou Lane; 42 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
