LEAMY, KATHRYN “Joan”- age 93, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will take place in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to a charity of your choice.
Joan was born in Flint, Michigan on February 18, 1932, the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Thomas) Rowe.
She married Clarence Leamy and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2007, after 59 years of marriage.
Joan was a nurse’s aide at St Josephs Hospital for many years.
In her free time, Joan loved to fish, knitting, flower gardening, and enjoyed watching Tigers baseball. Above all else she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children Robert James Leamy of Swartz Creek, Diana (Gary)Terry of Spaulding Township;
daughter in law Chris of Swartz Creek and her special friend Craig Karpinen;
grandchildren Scott (Kayla) Leamy of Toledo, Ohio, Steve (Tracy) Leamy of Sylvania, Ohio and Nikki (Jeff) Baughman of Lewiston, Michigan and Dani Walker (Brooks Yates) of Swartz Creek, Michigan;
great grandchildren Amber, William, Christopher, Allison, Kelsey, Riley and Logan.
She was also preceded in death by son Thomas Leamy, brother Harold, sister Ethel Mae and daughter in law Kay Leamy.
