Of Flint, age 61, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and great uncle went peacefully to Heaven to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday May 11, 2018, at McLaren Regional Medical Center after a brief but courageous fight with cancer. We will remember Mark for his great sense of humor, his unstopping love of Rock and Roll and most of all his love for his family and friends. A long time Flint taxicab driver, he never met a stranger. When he learned about his terminal illness he did not grow angry, but instead during the short time he had left, he spent it making memories with his family and friends and looking forward to his reunion in Heaven with his Mother (Shirley Ann Wright) and his wife (Tina Robin Wright). We wish to give our sincere thanks to Teressa Johnson, his wonderful girlfriend who cared for him during his home hospice, his nephew Karl who assisted in his care and always brought a smile to his face and lastly the McLaren Hospice Nurses and Caregivers who were so instrumental in making his last days as comfortable and as pain free as possible. We are forever grateful. Mark requested that there be no funeral or viewing, instead he wished that everyone would go on to live their lives to the fullest and to love one another with all their hearts. Mark is survived by: daughter Marissa Blakley; father Theodore Wright; siblings Karl (Anita) Wright, Scott (Belinda) Wright and Tanya Wright; nieces and nephews: Kimberly Wright, Rachel (Kyle) Wermers, Karl Wright, II and Sarah (Jeremy) Dobes; and great grandnieces and nephew Ariel, Blake and Maya Wermers. In lieu of flowers, if you wish you may make a donation in Mark’s name to My Brother’s Keeper of Genesee County, 101 N. Grand Traverse Street, Flint, Michigan 48503.
