MILLER, Dorothy J. – of Clio, age 91, died on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Birch Run Fields Assisted Living. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Friday from 1PM until 8PM. Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the O’Guinn Family Funerals Home in Clio with burial in West Vienna Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or the Clio Senior Center.
Dorothy was born January 5, 1930 in Vienna Twp., Michigan to the late Lloyd and Viola (Knoll) Tomkinson. She graduated from Clio High School in 1947. Dorothy married Earl Miller on February 11, 1950. He preceded her in death October 3, 1990. She was the manager at Citizens Bank for 26 years and Clio State Bank for 8 years before retiring in 1987. Dorothy was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Clio, The Red Hat Society, and activities at the Clio Senior Center. She enjoyed collecting antiques, bears, and dolls, traveling and trips to the cottage on Houghton Lake. Above all, Dorothy loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Son, Rodney (Carol) Miller; Grandchildren: Jennifer Miller, Brandon (Stephanie) Cummiford, and Gregory (Kaitlyn) Miller; Great grandchildren: Gabe, Alton, and Audrey; Brother, Elwin (Diana) Tomkinson; Sister in law, Bernice Tomkinson; Brother in law, Leo (Chris) Miller; Several nieces and nephews.
