SHANE, David Lee - Age 75, of Fenton, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026. Funeral services will be held March 21, 11:00 am at Linden Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Broad St, Linden. Pastor Dawn Russell officiating.? Burial immediately following the service in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the church 10:00 am to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Fisher House Michigan (Fisherhousemichigan.org). Fisher House is a non-profit which provides housing for families of hospitalized Veterans.
David was born on August 1, 1950 in Osceola, IA, the son of Clifford Paul and Kathleen Mae (Hagan). He was a 1968 graduate of Interstate 35 High School in Truro, IA. He grew up in New Virginia IA & still had many good friends living there. ? He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.? He married Cynthia Anne Hyde July 25, 2005 in Fenton.? He had resided in Fenton since 2003 coming from Durand/Munising.? David retired from Fowlerville Machine in Fowlerville.? He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and wandering around the Upper Peninsula. ?
Surviving are: his wife, Cynthia; children, Dusti (Brian) Hoffman of Ocean City, MD, Dawn (Shannon) Duffy of Clearwater, FL, David Shane of Detroit, Christina (Chris) Lewis of Byron, Alex (Erica) Dethoff of Okemos, and Kelly McQuisten of Munising; grandchildren, Madison, Ashleigh, Kaitlyn, Mason, Leah, Devin, Noah, Hannah, Andrew, Ashley, Samantha, Cameron, Colin, Courtney, and Andria; great grandchildren, Liam, Hazel, Hudson, Isla, Kaesyn and Elowyn ; uncle, Robert (Jeanette) Hagan of Iowa; and his best friend, Norville (Karen) Houston of Iowa. |
