Harvey J. Patsey, age 85 of Durand, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at his home. A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Saturday February, 23, 2019 at 1pm at the Durand VFW, 932 N. Saginaw St. Durand, MI 48429. A luncheon will follow the service.
Harvey was born on November 2, 1933 in Byron, Michigan to the late Harvey Albert and Jawilda (Cornell) Patsey. On August 9, 1957 he married Doris Bruno in Durand and together they raised seven children. Harvey served his country faithfully in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956. Harvey retired from the Railroad and then spent the rest of his life as a carpenter. He was a past member of the Am-Vets, and the Eagles Club, he enjoyed a trip to the casino, and wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to fish.
Harvey is survived by his children; Randy (Donna) Patsey, Tony (Pamela) Patsey, Deborah (Gary) Beardslee, Jim (Laura) Patsey, Patricia (Neal) Kimmerer, Scott (Jenny) Patsey, and Jeff (Jessica) Patsey, also many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His siblings; Jerry (Margaret) Patsey, Sharon (Holly) Speers, Barbara (Carlyle) Steede, Pam (Bob) St. John, and Robert Patsey, also his favorite dog and partner in crime, Sandy.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife Doris in 2011, and his siblings; Garnett (Rod, Hot Rod), Sandy, Joan, and Dale.
The family requests that no flowers be sent, and that you consider a donation to diabetes or cancer research. |
