RANGER, Ruth – of Lapeer, MI, age 84, passed away July 29, 2018 at McLaren-Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday, August 2, 2018 and 11 AM-12 PM Saturday, August 4, 2018.
Ruth was born in Clinton Township, MI on January 30, 1934, daughter of the late George M. and Vera E. (Zelk) Lavery. She married Ralph Ranger on October 11, 1984. Ruth was an avid Detroit Tiger fan no matter what the score. She often joked that Justin Verlander was her boyfriend.
Ruth is survived by her children, Roger (Karen) Redmond, Ron Redmond, Bryan (Linda) Redmond, Joan Traxler, Mark Redmond, Brad Redmond, Lisa (Jerry Johnson) Redmond; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Wenzlick; brothers, Harold (Marcia) Lavery, Arthur Lavery and Bob Lavery. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her sons, Donald and Gary Redmond; brothers, Howard Lavery, Melvin Lavery and Joseph Lavery; sister, Beatrice Lavery.
