OSTRANDER, Annabell L. – of Flint, age 87, went to be with her husband of 62 years on January 12, 2015 at MediLodge of Montrose with her family and staff at her side. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, January 16, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Chaplain Steve Hittle officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM & 3-8 PM Thursday and 12-1 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys of Flint or the Special Olympics.
Annabell was born in Burton, MI on October 11, 1927, daughter of the late James and Laura (Huff) Tucker. She married the love of her life, Richard P. Ostrander on September 29, 1951 and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2014. Annabell enjoyed her role as a homemaker. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and taking care of her son, Larry.
Annabell is survived by her daughters, Dorothy (Gary) Titmus and Teresa (Michael) Barkman; grandchildren, Jennifer Titmus, Matthew (Nicole) Titmus, Michael (Samantha) Kohn, Jr., Kaylyn Kohn (Charles Leach); great-grandchildren, Shawn Titmus, Michael Kohn III and Bentlee Leach; great-granddaughter; great-grandson, on the way; brother, Carl Tucker; nephew, John (Marcella) Eads. She was preceded in death by son, Larry Ostrander; one sister and three brothers. The family would like to say a special thank you to Karen, Kaylyn, Ruth and Samantha for the great care and compassion shown in the last years in their home. Also, to the wonderful staff at MediLodge of Montrose and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care given during her stay.
