GARRETT, Lois Ann (Coon) – of Davison, MI, age 83, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the 11:00 a.m. service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Lois’s memory.
Lois was born October 18, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, to John and Elizabeth (Pasternak) Coon. She married Lance Michael Garrett on October 3, 1959, in Bay City, Michigan. They shared 64 years of marriage before his passing in 2024.
She is survived by her five children: Melissa Haass; Debi (Dave) Filipiak; Kevin (Diane) Garrett; Kristee (Steve) Moore; and John (Terra) Garrett; 12 grandchildren: Miranda (Tyler), Abigail, John, Zachary, Jackson, Max, Jacob, Grace, Isabelle, Nicholas, Lidia, and Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and River; her sister, Janice Thompson; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Lance.
Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter whose life was centered on her family. Her Christian faith was personal and steady, quietly grounding her throughout her life.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Springvale Assisted Living Center for the wonderful care provided to Lois. They also wish to thank the dedicated team from CorsoCare, especially Nurse Tabitha and aide Talisha, for their kindness, comfort, and support.
Lois’s life was defined by love, devotion, and steadfast faith. Her memory will live on in the family she built and fiercely loved, and we find comfort knowing she is now joyfully reunited with Lance in heaven.
