ASBURY, Marjorie Ellen (McCallister) – of Fenton, MI, age 79, lost her battle with cancer on Friday, July 24, 2020. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter, in Marge’s memory.
Marge was born in Flint, MI on January 16, 1941, daughter of the late Leo and Mary Louise (Pickett) Demott. She retired from Fernco, Inc. as a corporate level Quality Control Manager in 2012 after 34 years of service. Marge was very accomplished, volunteering for the Davison and Goodrich Area Volunteer Ambulance Service as a Certified EMT. She loved animals and worked as a Veterinary Technician for State Road Veterinary Clinic. Marge was an avid fan of Detroit Tigers baseball, the University of Michigan and classic rock. She had a passion for camping, traveling and spending time with her family.
Marge is survived by her husband of 8 years, Larry Asbury; 4 children, Dawn (Jim) Cartier, Kim McCallister, Kelly (Gary) Zoromski and Debbie (Bill) Garbacz; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 step-children, Larry (Amanda) Asbury, Amber (JJ) Timm and Jeremy Asbury; 7 step-grandchildren; canine companion, Sweetie; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary Louise Demott; infant great-grandson, Dean McCallister; 2 brothers, Merle Demott and Bill Demott.
