PALMER, Glenn Julius – of Burton, MI, age 83, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Private Service, with Military Honors, was held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423.
Glenn was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on July 30, 1937, son of the late Glenn E. Palmer and Mary (Zaidinski) Field. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. Glenn married Ardith Joan Green on November 9, 1957 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Pontiac, MI. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Burton, MI. Glenn retired from General Motors on May 31, 1995 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, running, hunting, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Ardith Palmer; 4 sons, Michael Palmer, Christopher (Sherri) Palmer, Jody Palmer (Teresa Donelson) and Gregory (Jennifer) Palmer; 6 grandchildren, Karla (Frank) Ruzicka, Jason (Casey) Palmer, Shannon (Christopher) Yeates, Addison Palmer (Josh Muhleck), Logan Palmer (Christina Raeff) and Anna Palmer; 5 great-grandchildren, Alek Ruzicka, Ana Ruzicka, Amelia Yeates, Lucas Yeates and Paxton Palmer; godchild, Kelli Kippe; sister, Monti Thaxton; brother, Calvin Field; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Palmer and Calvin and Mary Field; brother, James Reid; sister, Darcey Marine.
