KRAKE, Eva Lou Ethel (Barnes) – of Burton, MI, age 94, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Eva’s memory.

Eva was born in Black Rock, Arkansas on February 26, 1929, daughter of the late Homer and Mary (King) Barnes. Her life was a tapestry of achievements, compassion, and devotion to those she loved. Eva made her mark in the world as a dedicated real estate agent, serving with distinction at both Michigan State Realty and Swadling Realty for many years. Her expertise, professionalism, and warm personality endeared her to clients and colleagues alike. Eva's commitment to her work was unwavering, and she played an integral role in helping countless individuals find their dream homes. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Eva possessed a heart filled with compassion and love for animals, particularly her fondness for dogs. She dedicated her time and energy to supporting animal welfare causes and touched the lives of many furry companions. Eva's kindness extended far and wide, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and even strangers in need. Her adventurous spirit knew no bounds, as evidenced by her participation in demolition derbies. Eva’s fearless approach to life's challenges, even in the face of danger, showcased her tenacity and zest for living life to the fullest. She approached every aspect of her life with the same level of determination and enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Eva leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Diane West; 2 grandchildren, January (Fernando) Suarez and Shelby (Julia) West; great-granddaughter, Emma West; step-grandson, Aaron West; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mary Barnes; son, Larry Jackson; 4 husbands, Cecil Jackson, Charlie Johnson, Louie Bukosky Jr. and Curtis Krake.
