HAVENS, JO ANN – Of Flint, age 74, died Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton, Father Paul Monkowski officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions in Jo Ann’s memory may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Trisagion Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Jo Ann will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Jo Ann was born in Flint, Michigan on July 19, 1944, the daughter of Joseph and Stella (Stublensky) Kantor.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church for 30 years and a member of Great Lakes Swing Dance Club for many years.
She enjoyed swing dancing, traveling, loved to volunteer at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. Above all else, she enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Surviving are brother, Johnny Kantor;
aunt, Barbara Stornello;
good friend and “adopted brother”, Al Pickett;
many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved, Baba.
