TOMLINSON, Jeffrey A. - of Flint, age 53, passed away September 4, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Adam Arnould officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Morris, MI. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Jeffrey was born in Flint, MI on February 27, 1958, son of Jon and Dodie Grahn. He was married to Teresa A. Avery for 25 years. Jeffrey graduated from Bentley High School in 1976. He was a member of the Bentley Golf Team that won the County B Championship in 1974 and County B Championship in Football in 1975. Jeffrey was always willing to help others whenever possible. He always took pride in making people happy and making them laugh. Jeffrey was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with his wife. He loved his family and Michigan football. Jeffrey retired from General Motors in 2008 after 32 years of service. He was currently working at the IMA Brookwood Golf Course.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving and caring wife, Teresa; son, Adam (Bridget) Tomlinson; daughter, Emily (Joshua) Guest; daughter, Alycia Tomlinson; grandchildren, Rylie, Grace and Tiger; parents, Jon and Dodie Grahn; brothers, Carl (Shelly) Tomlinson, Harry (Susan) Tomlinson; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry F. Tomlinson Sr.; father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Arlene Avery. Jeff would like to thank long time friends, Joe Kaczmerick and Mr. Russ Clark for being a big part of his life.
