Dake, Audrey P. - of Montrose, age 91, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Angel Manor in Clio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Montrose United Methodist Church. Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Friday from 2-8 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montrose United Methodist Church.
Audrey was born October 20, 1926, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Lloyd and Hazel (Roach) Jones. She graduated from Northern High School in Flint. Audrey married Ralph Dake on December 7, 1946 and had resided in Montrose since 1949. She was a 67 year member of the Montrose United Methodist Church and was past president of the American Legion Post #367 Women’s Auxiliary. Audrey’s life focus was her family.
Surviving are: Husband, Ralph; 2 sons: James Dake of Clio and Richard (Laura) Dake of Clarkston; Grandchildren: Emily (Martin) Vogel of Lake Zurich, IL., Elizabeth (Matt) Wolber of Cary, NC., Great-grandchildren: Leah, Alaina, Jasper, and Caroline; Brother, Rex (Jean) Jones of Antioch, TN., Niece, Theresa Allis; Nephew, Ron (Mary) Jones. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Angel Manor and McLaren Hospice for their compassionate care of Audrey.
