Mossman, Shirley J. Of Flushing, age 88, died Sunday, August 30, 2020, at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Mayfair Bible Church. Pastors Dean Stewart and Kevin Knox will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Mayfair Bible Church-Thrive.
Shirley was born on June 29, 1932, the daughter of Willard and Alfreda Leona (Ferguson) Knox. She married Robert Mossman on March 22, 1952. Shirley worked for Chase Bank for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was active in Shelton Heights Baptist Church in Flint where she sang in choir and volunteered in the nursery. After their closure, she joined Mayfair Bible Church in Flushing. Shirley enjoyed doing ceramics and together with her husband, they loved traveling, especially spending winters in Myrtle Beach.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 68 years; daughter, Susan Climie; grandson, Jordan Robert Climie; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill and wife Germaine Knox; and nephew, Keith Knox.
