Burry, Kathryn I. – of Montrose, age 80, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at McLaren Flint. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 12-3 PM. A private family funeral service will follow at 3 PM.
Kathryn was born September 13, 1940, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Elmer and Evelyn (Stafford) Francisco. She was a lifelong resident of Montrose. Kathryn married Robert Burry on June 6, 1959. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2009. Kathryn was employed by Montrose Community Schools as a bus driver for 25 years. She attended the Lamb of God Fellowship Church in Montrose. She enjoyed rock collecting, knitting, Bingo, travel and especially loved spending time with her family. Anyone who knew our mom knew she had a love for life and was a ball of energy! We even called her the "Energizer Bunny," and even he couldn't keep up with her. Please know that her life was full and rich because of all those who loved her.
Surviving are: 2 daughters: Ronda Ward of Goodrich and Robin (Scott) Parks of Flushing; 4 grandchildren: Felisha (Josh) Hall, Cassandra (Jeff) Lawrence, Samantha Parks, and fiancé, Neil Doll, and Dustin Ward; 4 great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Blake, Harper, and Millie; 3 brothers: Jerry, Bob, and Bill Francisco and sister, Joyce Chamberlain; Several nieces and nephews and many friends. Kathryn was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Monty Ward, and 3 brothers, Johnny, Corky, and Don Francisco. |
