David Ralph Warren, 72, of Davison, Michigan, passed away at home on May 25, 2026.
Born on March 3, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ralph and Vera (Doty) Warren.
David lived a life filled with dedication to his family, career, and passions.
A proud graduate of Flint Southwestern High School's Class of 1972, David embarked on a successful career in banking. He began his journey at Citizen's Bank in downtown Flint in 1975. After years of hard work and commitment to his profession, he transitioned to Comerica Bank in Auburn Hills, where he spent the final 16 years of his career before retiring in 2013.
David was a man who found joy in both the great outdoors and the camaraderie of sports. He cherished deer hunting trips to Houghton Lake and spent over three decades as a member of bowling and golfing leagues. His love for nature extended to camping trips with his family at Magnus Park in Petoskey and watching *Michigan Outdoors*. A devoted fan of Michigan sports teams, David could often be found cheering on the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, or Michigan Wolverines—or enjoying a round of golf on TV.
Spring break trips to Hilton Head Island were an annual highlight for David, as was volunteering at the Buick Open/Ally Challenge golf tournaments. These traditions reflected his love for travel and community involvement.
Above all else, David treasured time spent with his family. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Christine; his parents Ralph and Vera Warren; and his brother Larry Warren. He is survived by his children Laura (Jason) McGrew and Jason Warren; as well as his grandchildren Christopher Merrell, Justin Warren, Rylee Warren, Isaac McGrew, and Elizabeth McGrew. One of David’s greatest joys was visiting his grandchildren several times a week—moments that brought him immense happiness.
David’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and devotion. May those who knew him find comfort in remembering the many ways he enriched their lives. A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on June 3, 2026, at Swartz Funeral home 1225 W. Hill Rd.
